The Flourishing Canadian Abstract Art
Abstract art has been flourishing in Canada since the 1920s initially spearheaded by Kathleen Munn and Bertram Brooker. The highly expressive and unique style was responsible for redefining how the Canadian society sees and interacts with art and challenged the minds of many young artists.
Paul-Émile Borduas is recognized as one of Canada’s foremost abstract painter having spent considerable amount of his surrealist style art created during the post-war era. Bourdas was born in St. Hilaire, Quebec in 1095 and passed away in 1960.
Jack Bush was another painter whose career in art evolved into color abstraction work well sought after tody.
One must also mention the incredibly popular and talented Group of Seven painters whose works spearheaded the natural progression into abstract expressionism.
